PAC Adapter and 5th gen Bose

I have an Eclipse 12" with Phoenix Gold amp added to my Bose system. I was never really happy with the sound- the bass seemed to disappear the higher the volume. I read here that the 5th gen Bose is designed to automatically cut the bass down to the stock sub to eliminate distortion at high volumes. My stock sub is disconnected, and the Eclipse is attached via a Stinger line level input (is that right? I know very little about stereos.) If I fade to the front speakers, my woofer disappears altogether. Will the AOEM-NIS2 from Pac eliminate this problem so I can have true output from my 12"? Or is there another way around it without replacing the HU? I searched, but found nothing specific to this.

Thanks
