Free air sub in rear decklid

I'm trying to get a decent subwoofer to replace a bulky enclosed system. I was thinking of just imitating the bose system's sub with a blaupunkt 10" 350W RMS sub. I don't know if this is even close to feasible but thats what I'm trying to find out.

I have a few concerns:

1) Will the decklid be able to support this sub's power

2) Will spraying dampening material on the underside of the deck eliminate awful sounding rattling.

3) Should I expect to reinforce the decklid with anything

Thanks,

Chris

for one there are the tension rods for the trunk lid in the way. Two the rear deck is made from like 1/8" thick metal, you would have to cut that all out and install a 1/2" wood rear deck lid in its place. Three the rear trunk light would need to be relocated. Four, you will wanna invest in lots of dynamat
