Speaker Pods
Speaker Pods
If there is anyone that can make speaker pods so that I can fit 5 1/4 components in my front doors. I talked to the guy at tweeter and he told me that 5 1/4 wouldnt fit into the factory enclosures. So if anyone can make me some pods to use I would like to buy some. Please let me know.

Yes, almost everyone here could. Even those who are saying no. It's quite simple. Take out the factory plastic pod and trace the pattern onto a piece of MDF. Trace the outer and inner holes. Then get out your compass and mark a circle inside the inner hole the correct diameter for your 5 1/4 cut-out. Cut the outer hole and the one you marked on your own with a jig saw. Drill out holes for the screws to hold the panel to the door and the holes to hold the speaker to the panel. Attach to door. Use some gasketing or silicone to seal any gaps at the attachment plane. Total material cost, about 50 cents.
