Viper 800esp question - Can I make my "beeps" longer??
I was curious if I could extend the length of the "beep beep" when you unlock the car?? It is pretty fast now, and I have my police siren hooked up to it, but it doesn't make any noise when you lock and unlock the car because it's such a quick pulse..
Any ideas for what I could do to make the pulse longer.. instead of a "beep beep" maybe a "beeeep beeeep" or something?? I really have no idea, but I know that there has to be something I can do.
Thanks for any help. I don't have the owner's manual to the Viper 800esp either, so I can't look in there.
Thanks.

The only place I could tell you to ask this question is at http://www.th12volt.com/
They can tell you how to tap the siren signal, hook up a capacitor or 2 and wire up the whole thing to the new siren. I dunno how to do it myself, but they'd be able to tell you.
As for the 800ESP doing it without needing extra stuff, NO. It won't do it.
As for the manual, visit http://www.directed.com/ for a replacement one. That's what I use when I install them so I don't mess up the owner's version of the manual.
