? about eclipse speaker

I have a 95 with bose. I bought a set of 8061 a while back and haven't had time to install them until today. So I take out the driver's door panel and remove the old speaker. Great, no problem there. Then I try to fit the eclipse speaker in, but it's too big. I measure the old speaker and it is about 6 1/2 in. The eclipse is almost 7 in! On the box, it states they are 6 1/2. Did I get the wrong speakers? What can I do about it?

you need a 6.75" size speaker for a direct drop in.

MAJOR THING TO CONSIDER:

Bose systems usually aren't plug and play. You're really going to have replace the head unit.

I am not undertanding this corectly. 6.75 is bigger than 6.5 right. I bought a set of eclipse 6 1/2 speaker and they are too big. So you want me to get an even bigger set? Can you please explain some more?

I am replacing the hu and all speakers.
