anyone have one, or experiences with them? I am about to order them, but just wanted to hear if there was any reason why I shouldn't. It's got basically eveything I am looking for in a CD player (really wanted the Kenwood DMask+ but it is a little too deep). I like the display, but I was worried about if it broke a lot...The guy at crutch said it has less then .5 of a % defect rate, that sounds good enough...Any comments on this are appreciated.

Its a good reliable unit. I dont own one but i've worked with them before. There are a few models, which did you get? If it has what you need and you have your heart set on it, go for it!

gonna buy the

-30 model...The middle of the road one, it has the more powerful pre-amps and sub out. (4 volts) The other was 1.8v so I didn't thnik that'd be enough for the subs. Oh, and it's the upgraded disply on it. On sale for $300 at crutch.

Re: gonna buy the

Excelent choice on the 4V pre outs, my friends sister just got one for christmas and I installed it for her. She loves it and it looks great, it's easy to install too. I bought a JVC KD-SX950, and it's amazing. I think that JVC makes a good product other people don't share my views. Have fun with your new unit.

well changed my mind

(for the 20th time on deciding a head unit)...Now I am getting the lowest Kenwood Excellon CD-Receiver. The reason I am steering away from the El Kameleon (even tho most of the stuff about it is tight as ****) is because of the low 17-rms output. When the kenwood puts out 22rms that is about 30% more power (i'm not buyign an amp for the speakers). Also, at crutch this guy told me that the only benefit of 4 volt outputs verses 1.8 volt will be noticable in competitions whereyou'll get a slightly higher output. Is this true?

i owned one in my old 95 accord. it was the kdlx-10. it was really cool looking and sounded great with the BBE function on. i had the base model and it lacked the preamep outputs. it didnt matter because my amp had the speakerinline inputs. i have it for sale for $180 if anyone wants it. i would use it now but i want to keep my stock bose system in my max. the unit has only been used for six months. just email for info if interested.
