how much do i have to spend to change out the Bose system head unit to a after market head unit?? can i do it myself? or do i HAVE to have the store to do it for me? thanx

Hope this helps

It all depends on how much you want to spend. There are units out there that cost 50 bucks and go up to thousands of dollars. For a good head unit you can expect about 250 to 350 bucks. The instalation part is verry easy there are adaptor kits which can plug into the original harness, they cost about 10 to 20 bucks. Some places will install the unit's for free if you buy from them.

but some dealer told me, itz hard to change out the Bose head unit, cuz it has each indivisual amp for each speakers, i have to change out the whole thing. buy new speakers and subs, stuff like da, is that true? or they just want to rip me off?
