Electric aerial

Electric aerial
Just bought the car, and one of the things not right is the aerial. The old one broke, so the guy replaced it with a fixed aerial, but gave me a working (have checked) electric one separately. Looked in the boot but the wires (green/red and green) are not connected and go nowhere. The car is a 90se and I'd like to know where the right wires may be, and if poss how to sort this. Thanks in advance, Paul.

The aerial is the antenna correct? If so, there should only be one thick cable and a switched power connection to raise/lower the antenna going from the radio to the antenna. I have a 90 se and have a power antenna, I replaced the radio and only had to connect the antenna cable and one power connection for the antenna thats it.

Maybe I'm looking at two different things then: the coax lead has a black wire bonded to it that disappears behind the back seats after running across the boot and doesn't come out with the coax to the aerial (antenna). Is this the power lead? When tested with a probe/multimeter, it gives no voltage when the radio is switched on/off....What is the opaque plastic box with the pcb in it, fixed next to the antenna, with a plug and six wires in it, and two (purple and white) looped back to a separate plug that goes to nowhere? Everything on the car seems to work except for the antenna. I'm lost!
