Keyless entry question

Currently my aftermarket keyless entry unit is in the driver's door. Can I splice into the wires that are in the trunk that's meant for the OEM control unit? If so, is it really simple to figure out what's what?

all depends on the year car you have, everything can be found under the dash, with the doorlocks ONLY being in the driver door. Those are needed to be tapped there.
