Actually, they are oversized 6 1/2's or 6 3/4ths. Most regular 6 1/2 s won't fit without some modification - unless they have those 4 extended prong-like things that will mount on oversized 6.5's.

Click Me

I am not much of an audio person myself - however I picked up a pair of Sony Xplode 6.5 - 3 way speakers (they have the prongs to mount on 6.75s) and I found the sound quality to be pretty crisp. Again - keep in mind, I am no expert on this - but I did pick an instrument I have never heard before when I played my favorite Yanni cd. Pretty good improvement over stock speakers at $60/pair.

Yeah dude, i paid $14.99 at walmart (some moron put the wrong label on the box...their mistake = my savings). they sound great.

the only thing is that you can't put the grill that came with them on with out some modification to the rear deck lid, and there'll always be the indentation of the stock speaker grilles.
