MTX Audio Vendors?? HELP!

Does anyone in here have any "pull" with MTX? I have a problem and I need someone to please help me! One of my MTX subs got messed up and it is still covered under the 1 year warranty. I called MTX today and they told me that I have to have a copy of the sales reciept!! I bought it like 8 months ago from a place in North Carolina! I live in NY! I don't have the sales reciept, and they won't accept anything without it. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks

If you bought it from an authorized dealer try calling them. But before that take the damaged sub to an authorized dealer and see if they will help you with a replacement. I have polk home speakers, about 10 years old now, and have occasionally had driver blow. Simply takeing the speaker to an authorized dealer was the quickest solution. Of course it has to be a dealer with some respect for customer service. The dealer I bought the speakers from kept them for about three months the first time untill I called polk and said "WTF?". The repairs since that time have been between 1 and 7 days. And very rare as well. I did have the receipt, but try an authorized dealer.
