Taking Suggestions for speakers

I need to replace my factory speakers in my car. My friend has Lanzar all around in his maxima and they sound pretty nice. I was wondering what speakers you guys would recommend.

BTW-these are speakers that would go in my Accord where my eclipse cd5433 hu will power them real nicely for now.

I would recommend Eclipse also, I had the PointSource's in the back doors until they blew. Then I decided to stop messing around and get components .

Go to some of the local stores like Tweeter, Circuit city, etc. Try out the different speakers and see for yourself what sound better than the other. I did that and it really helped me out. I was thinking about getting Boston Acoustics, because I have had them in the past and liked them. Then I checked out the Eclipse while I was at Tweeter looking at the BAs and ended up like the Eclipse much more.

I havent heard any of the Eclipse speakers. Right now I'm trying to decide between Lanzar and MB Quart. However, I want to check out the Eclipse speakers now that they've been mentioned a couple of times.

Anyone have any prices on the Eclipse speakers?

They're not too bad. I saw them at Tweeter for $120...I think. I ended up getting a pair on ebay for $75 shipped(new). Also, I here Memphis makes some pretty good speakers too.

Ok so I have decided what Im going to do for the audio in my ride. Here's the list:

Head Unit: Eclipse CD5433
Front Speakers: Eclipse SC8362 Components
Rear Speakers: Eclipse SP8992 Point Source
Subs: 2 12" Eclipse SW6123DVC
Amp: Eclipse PA5532

Pretty pricey, but it's all gonna be done in segments. I'm getting the front and rears done at the end of the month because the components have to be ordered at the shop im going to. After that I'm gonna buy the amp and have that installed. Then I'll add the subs. So I'll have it all together hopefully by mid July.

What do you guys think of this set up?

If you're looking for components, the JL XR650-CSi speakers are really nice too. I would suggest an amp with those, however. The Eclipse setup should sound nice, if you go that route

Speaker choice depends greatly on whether planning to keep with the stock headend unit or add amps and/or a new HU. Infinity Kappas are not very efficient (90dB) and the factory speakers are quite efficient (guessing 94 to 95dB) so with the stock radio the Kappas are going to be pretty soft and I think you'd be disappointed.

I just installed four Infinity Reference 652i 6.5" ($69/pr at Crutchfield) and they sound great with the stock radio. Very clean and punchy. They don't have rumbling bass but that's what a sub's for anyway. They're 92dB so they're a few clicks softer that the stock speakers but still loud enough.

My next upgrade will likely be the Basslink sub and Infinity tweeters in the A-pillars. I can only imagine the sound then.

I've already replaced the stock HU with an Eclipse CD5433
