HU Install Kit/DIN Pocket for 95 Maxima

I have a 95 Nissan Maxima and I replaced the Bose HU w/ a Kenwood. First off, I tried the din pocket that came w/ the cd player (it was a universal), no good. I bought a Scosche DIN pocket also. Once again, no good. Theres a decent sized gap. Im stumped as to what to do. It looks crappy! I want to have a Single DIN HU, A din pocket (not including the pop-out tray that my car already has) and keep the woodgrain trim. Well, anyone have any suggestions of what to do or what they used?

Hmm, I'll try this next. Thanks. How much should I expect to pay for one, and do you know anywhere that will sell it cheap?

alright man this is what you do. i work at best buy and i know what you are talking about. if your factory radio was a double-din, then what you have to do is get the scosche multi-purpose kit. use the factory brackets to put these to together. Yes you still are going to have a gap around the radio. now what you have to do is buy there 3/4 or 1/2 trim ring. Then line it up with the pocket and the radio. Best to use some hot glue to keep it from beening loose. Once i did that on my 96 max it looked good no holes or anything. hope it all makes since and good luck
