Sub Install help needed

I just ordered my components. Pac-AOEM-NIS2 adapter, Kicker Comp 03C84 8" Sub and Rockford Fosgate Punch 200M Sub Mono Amp. I'm gonna try to install these by myself. But since I know nothing about car audio, i need your help. I know how to remove the Bose HU. Do i need to slice any wires or is the adapter plug and play? Do I have to power the sub or the amp or both directly from the battary? Do i need an on/off swith for the amp? anything I need to know before I attemp this?
Thanks in advance
Nik

You do not need to cut/splice any wires for the PAC AOEM-NIS2. It is completely plug & play. You do need to run a power wire from the battery to your amplifier (I would recommend at least 8 gauge wire). Your sub then get power from the amplifier (you run speaker wires from the outputs of the amp to the sub).

You can put in an on/off switch inline on the remote wire for the amp if you want, but the PAC AOEM-NIS2 has a remote wire lead on it, so really, all you need to do is run the remote wire from the amp to the lead on the AOEM-NIS2 and you're good to go.

Be sure to have a good ground for your amp and run your RCAs down the passenger side of the car and your power wire down the driver's side.
