bose head unit removal

ok.. i know this is the age old question, but the search isn't workin and i was wonderin has anyone ever done a write up on the removal of the bose head unit but leave the bose speakers and amps..

To my understanding, Somebody correct me if im wrong.... If you remove the bose HU, the speakers will no longer work...

if you reconnect the wires in the back it will sound and hit hella harder. The only down side to this is that you can only go up to a certan point and then it wount sund as good
