i want to add 2 mono amps and 2 12in subs to my stock 2003 bose system what adapters do i need and how much do they run

 

You need a line level convertor that taps in PRE AMPLIFIER in the rear. I believe the 2003 bose still has the amps on the speakers and the speaker line before the speaker should NOT be amplified and you should not have a problem.

Unless your amps have a line-out, you will also need a y-adaptor to hook both amps up to the line level convertor. Also, MAKE SURE you build a box with 2 separate chambers for the subs or else if one amp goes out, you will blow a sub or two.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, but I'm 85% sure this is right ...

go to your local BestBuy and pickup a Line Output converter, they cost $22.99. All you need to to is tap into your rear speakers leads behind the radio and grab the Acc. wire for your amp turn on.

Also you might wanna buy a Metra wiring harness for Nissan 95 and up(part number 1761 i believe) and plug that harness into the cars harness and trace back the rear speaker leads(purple and green) and also (red) for your amp turn on.

It will save you alot of time that way. Then go back to BestBuy and return that harness. And yes they will take it back, belive me im with that company now for 3 years

thx alot i bought the convertor today now i just gotta do it so ill get back to you guys later on progress

 

hmm i just did it usin the wireharness and once i started my car my cd changer made funny noises and now it wont work...radio works...
