hey i need to get some new speakers for my 91' se but i'm debating on which ones to get. i've been looking in my critchfiel magazine and i saw some 4x6 infinity plate speakers and some regular infinity 4x6 speakers then for the back should i get the infinity kappa components (6 1/2s) or just get some regular 6 1/2 speakers? i'll be running these into an alpine cda-7863 headunit and probably through this little kicker zr120 amp i have. then i'm going to have 2 12inch kicker comp vrs in the trunk but i don't know what amp to get for them either. any help would be appreciated! thanks!

I use to run a set of Infinity Kappas in my old car. They soung pretty good, but I had a problem with the surrounds seperating from the speaker (definatly not fun). I'm currently using MB Quartz (6 1/2 componets). If you do with the Kappas, I recommend the following, go with the 6 1/2s instead of the 4x6 plates. They will sound better and be able to handle more power.

If you can afford it, go with the componet set, it will sound better.

In case you are curious, the speakers I _had_ were the Kappa
52.1i's.

Plus, I still love my Infinity perfect 12" sub .

Always run your components in the front. I suggest you put the 6 1/2" components in the front, and throw some 6"x9"s in the back. The rear was made for 6"x9" anyway.

One thing to note that in teh deep south or in desert country the Kappa's cones have a tendency to warp....
