Bose Stereo question

Hey guys,

I have a 1999 Nissan Maxima and one of my preset buttons fell off today. I called the dealership and they said it would cost $405.00 to send the radio off to have it fixed. Has anyone else had this problem and is there a cheaper fix? Also, this is not covered on the extended warranty either.

Thanks,

Matt

Call the people at http://www.carstereohelp.com and see if they can help. That's where the dealer would send it anyway.

Thanks

I spoke to them and they could not help me, but I did talk to Jacobs Electronics, per the links page on maxima.org and they said that my problem is the Nose Piece Assembly, which can be ordered from www.pacparts.com. The part number is 940783500 and it is under Consumer Electronics and then under Clarion, although it is a bose stereo. The price is $20.50 plus tax. I am dealing with a local guy to see if he can fix it. If not, I am ordering the piece and I hope that will fix my problem.

Thanks,

Matt

Cool... good to know that you've found a fix that doesn't require replacement of the HU.
