ok I hooked my gauges up to the dimmer, the red to the red, black to the black, when the dimmers turned to the left the gauges are real bright but the lights that light up the P R N D 1 2 are off and so are all the panel lights for the air condition, when i turn the dimmer to the right, all the those panel lights are bright and the gauges, are off. also my Tach gauges gets stuck at 2k

Yeah just reverse the way you hooked up the wires to the dimmer and that should work.

 

As for your sticking just make sure the guages are sitting perfectly flush and flat on the cluster otherwise the needles will stick.
