Maximum # of bass tubes

Is there a maximum number of bass tubes you should put in a car. Yes I know bass tubes suck, and they are for trucks and hatchbacks, but I am on a budget and already have a bass tube hooked up. I know you can hook up two. Can you do three? Will it sound all right or will the sound start to be distorted. The bass tubes are powered (they have a built in amp), so will this be a problem. Thanks a lot.

why not sell the tube and get yourself a sub box? You and buy a box for like $50 and buy a 2for1 subwoofer special at circiut city or best buy.
