Bose radio relay location??

My radio is out no music (going crazy) Checked the fuses and they're all fine. I noticed when I was driving it kind of was cutting out and in, and then died. maybe it's the relay. Anybody know where it is located? Kind of weird thought the CD was skipping but saw the display was flickering off and on, and then just never came back on. Does the radio have a fuse located on the back of the radio? I have no idea where the relay is located.

I'm not certain, but I usually here a clicking by the front passenger's right foot area whenever I turn the Bose on.

Not really the solution I was going for, but yes I have thought about it. But money is tight, got a big trip coming up. Any other solutions?

You could just buy just the head unit for now. You would have to rewire the entire system at every amp though. It costs about 60 dollars to get it professionally done.

Why you think it's the unit that's dead? Do they die often or something? I would think that it's just a bad connection or relay or something?

Pull the radio out of the console and check for continuity in the ground and power cables going into the head unit. If it was flickering, chances are that going over a few bumps loosened or shorted something out. Start simple.

Try one or both of these things;

Pull the appropriate fuses and put them back again. If that don't work,
Dis-connect the battery for a while and connect it again.

I've seen threads on here saying that these things work.

Does anybody know the location of the radio relay? My hanes manual kind of shows it being int he center concole. I took apart the center console and only found some electrical box for my air bag system, no relays anywhere. Any ideas of the lcoation of this relay?

On my 97' it's on the passenger side kick panel.

Ya I found the relay. I switched it with relays under the hood, using the same relays model of course. BUt it didn't work. I think maybe the radio is cooked?
