Infiniti Kappa 6-1/2 components for the front and coaxials in the rear. Those are the only speakers I've heard in a maxima w/out an amp. They sounded great! I have Boston ProSeries 6-1/2s and I love them, but I have a 100x2 amp on them also.

For the money, Infinity components systems are pretty decent. They are not high end to be sure but neither is the price tag. Check out Ikesound.com for current street prices. Even their regular line component system is pretty good without an amp, provided you don't listen to music hugely loud. Most of their component systems have 90dB sensitivity which is fairly efficient. You really should have a subwoofer though to fill out the bass. The two component systems I have heard from Infinity (Kappa 6.1 perfects, 605cs) were characterized by clear (albeit overemphasized) highs, neutral mids, but lacking in bass.
