Rockford Bass Control

Hey guys I bought a rockford amp off ebay and it didnt have the bass control with it. I have an extra remote bass control from a kicker DX700, will it work for the rockford amp. Thanks

Jared, you can probably make it work. The RF control **** is simply a phone connector. If the Kicker one is not the same, you can simply buy a short phone cord and splice the wires. All those bass ***** are the same thing, a variable resistor, with only 3 active wires. Just test them and eventually you'll match them up. Start by taking apart the Kicker ****, there will be a small circuit board in there and you can see which three wires it uses. Go from there.

Not guaranteeing anything here, just an educated guess. Let us know if it works. Your other option is to buy a RF **** for < $10 on eBay. But the DIY option sounds more fun.

Thanks...Both the kicker and the Fosgate controls use the same phone connectors. However it would not suprise me if they have different wire setups just to be different. Who knows...but thanks for the advice.

If you can get a pic of the circuit board in the Kicker ****, I can get a pic of the board in my friend's RF ****. Then compare notes. But I say just try plugging it in first.

Yeah i will do that I just want to make sure that no wires will cross and perhaps cause a short. But the voltage and currents in the controler's circuit are so weak I dont think they would cause a problem. Who knows though. Thanks for your help.
