which would you choose
I want to get a new sub for my 95 max and it's between these two because of the
price. Which would you choose?
MTX Thunder 8000 12"
400W RMS / 1000W PEAK
23-150 HZ
85.8 dB SENSITIVITY
4 OR 8 OHM IMPEDENCE (I HAVE A CHOICE)
or
Infinity Perfect 10"
350W RMS / 1400W PEAK
18-150 HZ
94dB SENSITIVITY
4 OHM IMPEDENCE
OR
KICKER S-10L7
2-Ohm DVC, 4-Ohm DVC Impedence
600Watts Max
88dB Sensitivity
24-100 Frequency Response
BOTH ARE $150 BRAND NEW WITH WARRANTY. WHICH WOULD GET LOUDER AND
SOUND BETTER? THANKS.

Based on reputation and reviews, the Infinity Perfect should sound best as far as sound quality. They are also capable of playing very loud, too.
As far as what's THE loudest, I don't know... It's quite possible that the Kicker or the larger MTX could play a bit louder, since that's what they're known for
Chances are, you'd be happy with any of them, if you do a good install.... I'd get the Perfect 10, myself, though

infinity kappa perfect might have better sq tho it isn't as loud (looking at your specs) and a 10" usually moves less air than 12's but do u plan to booom it up to the max all the time? cuz if so then maybe go with the MTX but they dont' sound that great. i prefer JL's or aluma.. if u have the money go with teh focal utopias or u can go wti the aluma m16.. my friends and i consider it more of a bomb than a sub

The Kicker's will move as much air as the old 12D's due to the square design. . . I haven't heard the L7's but I have heard they are nice. . . The Infinity is nice though, I think you would get the best sound quality out of it. . . But it won't be the loudest of them all.

The Infinity has the ablity to be louder if powered properly. You see the sub has 13mm of X-max which allows it to have a huge amount of travel when properly powered. Therefore producing a loud and clear sound, no to mention that if space is important the Kappa perfect is designed for a small sealed enclosure, the mounting depth for the svc and the dvc is only 6.5" Not only that but the sub is made from extruded aluminum so it looks beautiful. Good luck

wesley:
What amplifier do you have to power these? The MTX look to be awefully inefficient, though they look sweet IMO.
From these 3 choices I'd have to agree on the Infinity Perfect's.
I'd rather choose something from Crystal, Image Dynamics, DEI Audio or JL Audio though.
