Badly need advice for head unit!

I just had the idea to put a modded XBOX in my car, so I bought everything that i would need. I solved the audio issue connecting to Bose with a nice FM modulator...after I installed all this today (except for the screen...which i have yet to buy), it sounded terrible. When volumes got too low or too high, static was introduced. I was thinking about splurging to a degree and getting a headunit with an AUX input. I was thinking about how I could afford this and realized that I could most likely sell my working Bose HU. From a 97, how much do they go for? Also, I would need the PAC adapter for my speakers because there is NO room in the budget for new speakers...period. All I want is my XBOX playing a CD to sound like I'm playing it through the stock Bose..is this possible? Which head unit should i get, when thinking BUDGET. All it needs to have is an Aux and radio...it doesnt even really need to play CDs! Any help is really appreciated!

Alpine CDA-9805

Is the Alpine CDA-9805 a good idea for this application? Where should i buy from? Crutchfield.com is nice and gives all the connectors i need to install it which does seem to have some value over eBay. $200 shipped with parts from Crutchfield....$160 shipped bare from eBay...anyone have any ideas for me please? Does anyone know if this HU has an RCA AUX input or if the AUX is the small kind...
