If you don't have a Bose system, it relatively simple. You can keep the wires in the door already from the factory speakers, and use them for your new speakers. For amping them, just tap into the speaker leads running to the headunit. The wiring from the factory system is already there, so all you have to do is lead the the wires from the amp up to the headunit. Follow me? This eliminates the time running wires thru the door. Or another option, if you want to run wiring thru the door, just slice thru the rubber grommet in between the door jamb. Real easy. As far as the crossovers, just mount them behind the kick panels for each door. Or, you can mount them near the amps, but that would require too much wiring.

Most, if not all, of the Bose system wiring is useless when replacing the system with non-Bose products. The wire is too small and isn't worth messing with.

It took me longer to get the door panel off than it did to fish new wires into the door. I took the easy way out and cut a small slice below each existing grommet and ran wire, with heat shrink tubing on it, through the slices. No leaks and no other problems.

There is a great set of instructions on the installation procedure for the front and rear speakers from Crutchfield (I think). I don't remember, but I might have picked it up in the 4th generation FAQ section.

Good luck.
