Need Help Deciding Which Components To Get

Ok let me start off by saying I DONT KNOW ANYTHiNG about Car Audio
My stock Bose system has recently gone to the ****
When I bought the car, one of the rears was blown already. Now the other rear has stopped working too. The fronts dont pound nice at all. I'm thinking its time for a change. I plan to keep my stock bose H/U for now since I'm kinda low on funds and upgrade all four speakers + the tweeters. I have a 12in Cerwin Vega Sub + Amp that I will be adding to the mix. Now my questions are:

Whats the difference between component speakers and regular ones?
From the searches that I did almost everyone upgrades to components so I think I will do the same.

Which component speakers should I get?
I dont want amazing crazy mind blowing sound. I just want something thats good for all around music (mostly listen to rap) and sound better than the stock bose. I'm thinking of something like Infinity Kappa or Polk Audio. Also I dont want to spend too much.

Will I need an adapter to make them work with the bose head unit?

Will I need a seperate amp for the components and tweeters?

Should I get new wiring?
I will be getting professional intallation because as I mentioned above I am worse than a when it comes to this stuff.

Later on I wanna upgrade the H/U along with the Redmax LCD if that helps you any in helping me any

Thanks

Ok I checked these on ebay. It says RMS output is 8-100W. I think I read somewhere that if you are driving ur components through ur head unit only u have to have minimum 2-5W output. So will I be needing a seperate amp to drive these? OK these for the fronts what should I put in the rears? Do I need an adapter to make these work with the bose h/u and should I go for new wiring?
Anyone else with suggestions? Something a lil bit cheaper maybe but good quality ... these are going on ebay for $175.

Thanks for the help.

Dude goto cartoys, listen to the speakers and figure out what u like. I just bought Focals, spent $445 for a good pair and coaxials. 75 watts rms and it sounds great mids and highs. Its all on how much your willing to spend. I got polyglass..... the auction is still up for a few pairs of these and the FOCAL 165CV Polyglass 6.5" coaxials will do some good.

Image: I dont really care about sound as long as it doesnt sound like crap. Isnt Focal like a high end brand like Diamond Audio etc. I dont want to spend that much money on audio equipemnt. I guess I'm looking to spend around $200 - $250 on all 4 speakers and tweeters.
Guys can you please answer the noob quiestions that I asked:

1) Do I need an adapter to make the speakers work with stock h/u?

2) Will I need a seperate amp to drive the speakers or will the stock h/u be sufficient to do this on its own

3) Should I get new wiring?

4) These component sets seem to be only 2 front speakers and 2 tweeters. What do I put in the rears? Also whats the difference between mids and highs?

Thanks

Its whatever you chose. Chances are you will most likely need a new HU. However, if you want some good sound an onboard amp will not statisfy your sound hunger. It all depends on how much your willing to spend. If you dont want to spend that much, get some cheapo speakers, get a nice hu (eclipse) or w/e and wire it in. You will infact need a new wiring harness (reccomended) and new wiring.

Thanks for the reply. I went to bestbuy and talked with the dude there and now I kinda kno what I wanna do.
I wanna get Infinity components for the front and coaxials for the rears. The guy there said that since the bose speakers are 1ohm and the infinity's are 4ohms so doing a straight swap will produce clearer sound but not as much volume because the speakers will recieve only a quarter of the power (or something like that). He said that I will probably need a new head unit to go with the speakers. So ....

My plan:
Get the infinitiys and a cheapo h/u and ride it out until I can afford the h/u that I want which is hella expensive cuz I wanna get the pioneer DVH - P5000MP and combine it with the Redmax 7in screen.

What do you guys think? Any suggestions? Disagreement?

Thanks

As long as you are replacing all the speakers and the radio, You will be fine. My only real advice for you is to do it once, and do it right. If you think the Infinity speakers are the ones for you then go ahead. But cheesing out on stuff just to settle is the wrong way to go about it. You could get the Head unit, and just the separates and wait on rear fill.

Yea I think the infinitys will be fine for me. I dont want top of the line stuff as I am not really an audiophile and prolly would not be able to enjoy the subtle diffrerence between the infinitys and somethin like lets say Diamond Audio. The head unit is where I have to make my descision. Cheap out now by gettin some ok cd player and saving up for the DVH - P5000MP + the lcd or getting the P5000MP now and getting the lcd later.
