Just bought infinity kappa 60.5cs components

Is my Alpine CDA 9813 going to push enough power into them? Its only pushing about 27-30 RMS?
Thanks

i would definatly amp those speakers, if you want those speakers to sound like they should. I have these same components and cda-7894 and i'm running about 100rms to each speaker from an amp.

wait till you get the loot for the amp, HU won't do what you want. Just my opinion.

I am half way through installing them. I am going with just the HU for now. I set them up temporaily and they sound better then the refrence 2 ways I had there. The tweeter makes a huge diffrence. I will be saving up for an amp!!

I didnt install them completly yet. Last night I cut holes in the side pannels and installed the tweeters. Tonight I am going to finish up. I am not sure where I am going to put the crossovers yet? Where were you thinking of putting them? Oh the wiring is easy, is is like the witing to am amp. HU to crosover (+/-) and two sepetate outputs to the speakers. I will take some pics when it is done and post tonight.

Very nice HU, I was thinking about the 9815 for myself. I would say get a small 4 channel amp, and use it to power only the front components, and power the rears with the HU.

Start saving, it will be worth it

You could bridge the rear channels to power a subwoofer

you said hu to crossover to wire the hu to crossover...i assume that you wire the hu to the harness like normal then those wire run through the car to the doors and two wires go to the stock speaker which then get cut and put to the crossover? what about getting power to the rears?

Yup, I am using all of the factory wiring. Each speaker has a crossover so the rear speakers get power just as they did - factory wiring.

Finished up last night. I live the look of the tweeters!! It sounds very good with no amp. I guess the woofers will hit harder? I am not in too much of a rush though, because I am completly happy with the current setup and I have some other mods that need to be done. If I turn the sub off the system does sound underpowered, but once its on everything comes together.

wrongway - you are going to get a better sound with or withought an amp (my hu pushed 27 watts rms) as long as your hu pushed decent power.

I will try and get some pics up this weekend. Cardomain is very tempermental.

does a HU really push the rms it is rated? i always thought HUs are too small to have that much of an internal amp....

Hey, I have been looking ast these or the refrence 6000cs. Do you think these are they much better ( $65 extra?) I will also be running of deck power. My deck is a 52x4 one, which is 20 rms x 4

the more expensive speakers will sound much better if you power them with an amp.. if you know you'll NEVER get an amp, go ahead and get the cheaper ones, you most likely won't tell the difference

this is all IMO

In the future I will be getting an amp. So do you think its worth spending $65 more to get the 60.5cs compared to the 6000cs
