I have one 12 in my trunk in a custom plexiglass enclosure. If you are looking for something that causes earthquakes, this is not the sub for you. This sub hits pretty hard, but it's built for sound quality. My friends 2 10" sony Xplods bumped harder than my one 12. If you want pics, look at my site.

You might wanna reconsider pumpin each sub with with its own 1200.1 amp...I have a JBL 1200.1 and the Flame sub just like yours...and I blew it..the audiobahn is way over rated...they are good...but the amp that you and I have are WAYYY to strong for it...try running both your flames subs off of 1 JBL 1200.1...thats my 2 cents and personal experience

what does audiobahn say in return? I mean if they say its 1100 watts rms is needs to ****ing be 1100 watts rms. Im gunna run 4 guage so i should be limited down to atleast 1,000 watts max, so i think i will be ok.

The guage wire you run won't limit how much power your amplifiers put out.
If somebody says they will fry with that much power, they probably will.
You will be giving them as much power as your amps can, so look out and keep a fire extinguisher, and a can of air freshener handy.

If I run ****ing 8 guage, my amp wont put out 1100 watts to my speakers.. if i run 20 ft of 4 guage the safe ammount would be 1000 watts... Look at a wiring schematic chart, that's why there are different guages of power wires.

I had 2 Audiobahn Flame Q 12's running on one JBL BP 1200 amp. I have 0 guage wire in my care. The JBL amp will not blow the flames, and the flames are loud. They were louder than my ALpine Type R's (which my JBL BP 1200 blew the voice coils off). THe audiobahns can handle some power. Now im on to infinity kappa perfects in a finberglass box, beginning stages.

I have 2 Audiobahn flames in my car. They are only 1100 WAtts peak, and they hit hard as hell in a bandpass box. So I would guess if you powered them enough they would be able to boom just as much as any other brand. They sounds better than most subs too.

Yes they are louder than type R's. I had 2 type R's and 2 flame q's. Flame q's are 1100 Watts rms and 96 dB. They are louder with the right amp. I blew the voice coils of my Type R's. Type R's are tighter.
I think your full of

I would assume they would sound good in a sealed box also, but bandpass boxes are known for making the bass sound louder. As for the space, it depends on exactly which sub you have. The subs I have reccomend about 1.3 cu ft. of space per sub. I have them in the dual bandpass box with 1.2 cu ft. behind each sub and 2 cu ft. in the portion between them.

You think I'm full of bullsh*t? Sorry bud....I know from experiance and friend's set ups, Audiobahns are chrome POS overrated subs, amps, and other products.

They ARE NOT worth the money you pay for them. Your setup may sound great w/ the box and amp you have. But unless you have very extensive knowledge - dont even try to tell me I'm full of sh*t you pink taco.

I am telling this from my own experience. I have had both subs, I have built both boxes and both have been run with the same amp. My boxes for my audiobahns were bigger and ported, but they were still louder.

And who would you take advice from, you with a sony subwoofer and a lightning audio amp
or someone with both set ups.

Alpine = tighter bass that audiobahns, end of story
