I have just bought a 2001 Infiniti I30t and would like to replace the Bose HU with the Kenwood x869 (single din) from my other car. Rather than reinvent the wheel, I figure someone out there has already done this before, so any help would be appreciated.

So…

1) How do I remove the current HU?

2)What Radio Installation Kit do I use? I have located the Metra 99-7416 kit. This is for a Maxima, but it looks like it will work The problem here is that the kit is black, while the cars trim is gray(ish).

3) What Wiring Harness do I use? I have located PAC's ROEM-NIS2 and a Soundgate OEM4a. Again this is for a Maxima. It is my understanding that I will need a Wiring Harness to make the Bose speakers compatible. I do not want to replace the speakers at this time.
