Help me pick a sub.

Help me pick a sub.
I have an MTX 2100 (I think) amp that is brand new and has been sitting in a box for over a year now (Paid $60). Anyway, I want to hook it up to one 12" sub firing into the cabin through the pass through in the back seat. I'm pretty sure that my amp is capable of pushing 200-280 watts RMS so I need something matched to that.
It has to be efficient since I'm not giving it a whole lot of juice. No monster magnets. (Factor #1)
I also prefer tight sound over SPL. (Factor #2)
And I don't want to spend over $200 (factor # 3)
Right now I'm leaning towards the Kappa 12". The one with the silver cone that goes for ~$200 w/box from Crutchfield right now. Anybody have feedback / recommendations?

DJ Kontakt - Those subs were really nice but I think they take too much power for me. IIRC, the one was 500 RMS and the other was 750 RMS.
Fosgate Fan - That Rockford sub only has an efficiency rating of 86 db's. I'm trying to make the most out of my puny amp.
Polishpunk - That Type S may be what I'm looking for. How do you like that Inifity of yours? I'm seriously considering one of those.

Hey, then take a look at 2 e 12k's, they dont need as much power, and are only $145 each!
~350rms
The 12kx is only $85 direct, and it wants only 150 rms
And the quality in their construction is way better than those other speakers. It also comes with a 3 yr warranty with no holes.

Oooohh, I'm thinking about this: http://www.edesignaudio.com/ep2/12k.htm in a 1.2 cu. ft. sealed box. 150-250- watts RMS. Thanks for the info so far!
And PS, why are these so cheap?

I like my infinity a lot, but i'm pushing 450 RMS to it... its rated power handling is 300 so i'm overpowering it by quite a bit. I still have some tweaking to do to get it to sound the way I want. Possibly I might build a ported box for it if I'm not happy.

oh and the e12k subs are GREAT for the price... all eD subs don't require a lot of power to sound good, they have a unique look too, they're flat.
I've heard people comparing the e12k to an Alpine Type R, and most prefer the k.... if I was to sell my Kappa, I'd get the k in its place, too bad I didn't bother to investigate the k before I got my kappa...

hey, i am tryin to put together a system on a shoe string budget. I was checkin out the 12K, but I have a question....I am buying a cheap 4 channel profile amp and bridging the rear channels to power the sub. Will 225 RMS be enough to do this sub justice? Or, should I just buy the 12Kx instead? thanks to anyone who can help!

Image Dynamics IDQ-12 SVC or DVC. I've had five in my life and they are the best sounding sub's I've ever used. I've won several IASCA comps using Image Dynamics speakers. I now run 2 Eclispe Aluminum Cone 12" DVCs, but just for more SPL. The IDs sounded better and were a lot less.
