component speakers and infinity basslink

im not an audiophile, just want to get better sound in my max..

im using infinty reference coax right now in the front. i want to get the ref series components. will my HU be enogh to effciently power that. it says like 70-80w rms.. the premier 740mp HU only puts out like 50 and i thitnk that is peak...i dont feel like getting and amp to power the fronts.

how are the infinity reference components anyway?

i also jsut got a basslink from infnity. im not looking for the whole block to hear as i roll by, just clean, deep bass that can be felt and heard in the car while listenign to rock punk alt rock ect.havnt installed it yet. will this drown out my ref series speakers in the front?

thanks for any help..im a noob to this stuff.

The infinity comps are pretty nice, but depends on how much you pay. THey dont sound half as good off of the head unit, but then again, no components do.
The basslink will fit right in with the other speakers.

Basslink is perfect for what you're looking for... my taste is pretty similar and it fits right in with my components. Doesn't overpower it or anything, and it can keep right up with the bass drum in punk songs.

Components run off 80Wx2 RMS amp, the back speakers are off the HU. The amp was like 50 bucks on ebay, I definitely think it's worth it.
