Anyone know how to make a switch to bypass the safety warning screen on the Alpine CVA 1003? Or at least some where I can find out how to make one?

 

They sell some bypass modules on ebay like this one.

The guy who installed my alpine cva 1005, before it was stolen, said that the unit needed to see a pulse space pulse to disengage the safety feature. My car is manual so what he did was hook it up to my reverse light so when I hit the clutch and put it in reverse and took it out of reverse, the safety thing would disengage. I know that isnt a really good description but I hope that helps.

 

You can just use a toggle switch. Just like Ramses718 said, the unit needs to see a pulse change. I forget what it needs to see, I can ask my friend at work if he remembers when I go back to work on monday
