Audio Mystery
I had two amps in my car a MTX Tunder 280 and a Sony 300 with the MTX running my 12" Pioneer 400W sub and the Sony running all the speakers in the doors Cervin Vega 6.5 with tweeters and 6x9's in the rear. My problem is with this setup when I turned it up the light's where diming on the inside and on the outside of the car, when I nistalled a new amp the Soundstream 405 which now runs all my speakers and the sub, which sound a lot better now, but with this more powerfull amp the light's are not diming at all with bass notes and when turned up really high. Maybe with the old amps I messed up with hoocking up one of the ground connections. If anyone has any input on this I would appreciate it. I have never come across anything like this.
The SS amp draws less current, and also has a HUGE bank of capacitors inside the amp to help filter its own power.
Sooo, it draws a smoother current flow from the battery, keeping you from noticing your dimming lights.
That's it in a nutshell.

Here's my plethora of answers to that one:
1. Been there, done that
2. tried to install it, broke it and learned to fix it myself
3. asked it before myself, and am lucky enough to remember the answer
4. I'm an Elec Engineering student, so I'd BETTER understand this stuff
5. Stereo is in my blood. Too bad I can't afford more new blood.
