I just finished instaling my amp and sub. I bought a Rockford Fosgate 8 gage wireing kit. I wired the power cable, i installed the ground to the metal in the spare tire well. I installed the patch cable to the sub output in the HU, I ran 16 gage wire to the sub, and i installed the remote turn on. I turn the car on, the head unit turns on, the amp lights up, music begins to play, the sub does not work. Any ideas on what could be stoping the sub from working? (yes i have changed all of the settings in the HU to work with the sub) ( I have one 12' MTX Thunder 6000 sub a Profile 400sx California amp and a Pioneer DEH-P6200 Head unit)any help is appreciated.

 

check to see if the wires are connected in the box(inside box from speaker to box connection)
