Playstation II or regular dvd player?

I just bought a TV to mount where my factory bose hu was, and I'm trying to decide if I want to buy a dvd player with tv tuner, or just buy a playstation II and use it for the dvd player. Does anybody have a playstation II in their car? Where could I mount it? I already have a head unit with the aux function, so I think it would be pretty easy to hook up... I have a power inverter, but I think you can use a cigarette lighter adapter too right? thanks for the help.

i do not have any tv stuff in my car but get the ps2 and play gt like in F&F. plus it plays dvds, unless you have an old old ps2 like me which may not play new dvds... but thats just what i heard. ive never had a problem yet.

Old PS2's plays newer model DVD's but they lose function to play regular CD's. You also have to buy a Sony PS2 remote to upgrade the DVD driver in the PS2. Along with a memory card. But if you don't have another deck to play audio go with a dvd player that plays mp3's. If you already have a good sound system get a newer PS2for like $179.
