Ground locations for 3rd gen

Hello All
I am going to be adding a Alpine MRV-T320 to power the Infinity Kappa 60.5cs I have in the front doors. My plan is to put the amp under the passenger seat. Has anyone done this before and if so what did you use for a ground and remote on? Any suggestions would be great.
Thanks
Gil

Find a place and make a ground... Or just find something that's already bolted to the frame/body - I've used the seat bolts on my Mustang and Tempo before with no problems for about 4 years...
As for a remote turn-on, use the remote turn-on lead from the back of the HU...

The ground is probably tied to the car's metal frame anyway, so putting your amp ground to the metal under the seat is most likely just as good as tieing it to a ground wire.

The biggest pain will probably be running the remote turn-on. If you're sneaky, you might be able to do something like tie it to the wire that tells the antenna when to go up and down which is somewhere on the right side, but you might have to do some voltage-stepping to get the signal on the antenna wire and the expected signal for the amp to match up correctly.

you can wire the remote turn on to the power antenna wire with no problems (well I haven't had any by wireing it to the antenna relay in either of my maximas) I didn't have to do any voltage stepping...

My amp is under my seat grounded to the bolt for the seat. Power from the battery, and a toggle switch for the remote turn-on where the change holder is so I can turn my amp on/off when I want.

I dont have the "mysterious cylinder" in the trunk and my antena only goes up when I play the radio (not cd's or dvd) so that wouldnt work. I am going to run a wire to the remote wire for the hu. Well that is after I pick up the amp. I shoould be getting some Second Skin that I ordered last week. Can wait to put it on the trunk/doors!! My system is comeing together slowly. I'll be happy when its finally done.

I am never finished with my system. There is also something that I want to do to it, but don't really feel like it.

Well I want to change out my circuit breaker with an wafer fuse. I need to mount my distribution block. I would like to eventually mount the amp in the trunk and put in another amp. Upgrade my subs. I have had the car for about 4 years and I have gone through so many upgrades it is ridiculous. 3 HU's, 3 amps, 2 sets of subs. I haven't touched my stereo in about 8 months now.
