Best Place for CD Changer
#2
depends on what cd changer you're getting. how big is it?
There's no best place to put it, but rather where you'd like it to be. Some people put it under the passenger seat, others have put it in the center armrest. If it's small enough, you might be able to get it into the glove compartment. Most commonly it goes in the trunk somewhere.
I have an alpine MP3 changer, and right now it's in my trunk (bolted to the rear deck) but I'm thinking of putting it in my center armrest. It would fit pretty nicely in there with some room left for a CD or two.

If you face it backwards, then you can just drill it right into the floor with metal screws and have it sit flat. if you face it forward, there's the hump under the seat that you have to figure your way around... maybe put in a wood platform to elevate the changer enough (just make sure you have enough space for the seat above it).
Also if you face it backwards, you have to make sure you place it deep enough so anyone sitting in the back seat isn't going to kick it all ride long.
It's not a terribly difficult installation as long as you have the right tools (powerfule enough drill, right type of screws, etc).
