when i start my car, even when the cd player is not on, it comes on automatically and has "error" on the screen.

how can i fix this? should i unplug negative battery and plug it back?

last time i did something to the car battery

I have the same problem with the Bose in my Wifes Maxima, except its for the tape player Whenever you put the key in the ignition, that damn thing tries to cycle for about 20 seconds making loud clicking sounds, and the finally gives up. Of course Nissan refused to replace it under the extended waranttee we have

If you look under the 4th gen howto's thread at the bottom of the page, there is a link to a Bose specific page where it runs through some of these things.

I'm surprised with all the problems people have with these Bose radio's, and how expensive they are to replace, that Nissan doesn't offer a recall on them, or at least free repair

I think mine is about to die soon, playing songs after track 10 get fuzzy and crackly and sometimes I get an error. What a piece of crap, I have to get a new headunit and speakers sooner then I wanted to.
