Heat on radar detector

Right now, until I hardwire it, I have my radar detector in the middle at the bottom of the windshield. Since it has been 10 degrees for a few days, I've had the heat blasting all the time. My question is, how bad is it to have the heat from the vents below windshield on the detector?

Probably isn't that bad considering during the summer the sun rays will warm it up quite a bit.
