Ground for HU

I have a harness for my HU and it has a ground wire. I know where to put this. THe thing is I have a harness so I can easily plug the hu to the every thing else and it also has a grounding plug. Should I ground this too just to be safe?

I figured it out connect the two wires because the stock harness was already grounded so everything was plug and play.

I recently installed a head unit in my 94 GXE. The instructions said it is automatically grounded when mounted onto the bracket so the ground wire was not to be hooked up. Just tape it and make sure it's taped good.
