as part of my system upgrade I went with the newly released Kenwood Excelon KDC-X979

its their top of the line unit, just released January 04, there is very little info about it but I can tell you the screen and SQ rock...the adjustment capabilities mimic that of the Eclipse 8443 including DSP and digital time alignments, etc.. with the option for Dolby pro logic surround sound when coupled with a center channel speaker

I am very pleased with it's performance for the $480 I spent on it shipped:

oh and I also had an Arc audio amp with a Diamond M3 sub added....muchos props to Don for his usual dynamic install

only took 1 hour this time...very impressive...more pix and reviews to come

....the ARC is amazing on those M6's .....isn't it? cant wait for my Arc 265 components... to be finished up front and put my Eclipse in pro mode...

Peel n' seal Thats old school. Not a bad choice for the HU man, ive seen that 1 be4 and one of the main things it has over the eclipse is definetly simplicity
