Ive said it be4, and ill say it again.

Alternator to battery positive.
Battery negative to chassis.
Chassis to engine.

As for the alterntor, some people actually upgrade it. I find it easier to just "add" to it. I just added a 4awg wire and ran it to my battery +

That link provided is actually a pretty damn good one. Follow those instructions. Cant go wrong.

Just a quick question is this pretty much what a "hyper ground kit"(or whatever its called its similar to that) does?

Not really, the hyper ground just runs an unncessary amount of ground wires from all over the engine bay to the battery negative. Im not saying the hyper ground isnt worth it, it definetly helps. It would be a smart idea to "add" a wire running from your alternator to the battery positive. I personally have just the "magic 3" done and one extra ground other then that. IF you really want to go overboard do the magic 3, and get a hyper ground kit.
The magic3 basically focuses on 3 specific upgraded.

I am willing to bet that if they did the hyperground to a brand new car the improvment would be almost nil. The test they did was not scientific or realistic. Just cleaning the terminals can result in large differences in battery, car, alternator co-operation.
