DEI siren question

i bought a dei 514n soft chirp siren. the soft chirp is suppose to be 6 db lower then its normal volume. how do I make it chirp at its max volume (ie: same loudness as if the alarm was going off)? I dont understand the instruction in the box. It shows a pic of a board. Am I suppose to open the siren up?

I have a viper 690xv that came with the avenger siren. I remember seeing that black loop wire out the back of the alarm, can I cut that too? my chirp is kinda loud, will it get louder?

edit- Nevermind I checked and its connected to something, my old alarm had that black wire in a loop

Yes cutting the loop as close as possible to the actual siren would make the chirps louder. The siren (going off) would still be the same.

Viper 690 also comes with the same 514N siren.

I just looked at it and for some reason that thin black wire isnt in a loop anymore, the installers have it wired up to something, not shure where since its wrapped in tape along with the other wires. Cut it anyways?

I honestly have no idea what they could/would have hooked that wire up to. You may want to ask them before cutting it.

What exactly is that wire for? Im going to unwrap the tape and see what they did to that wire.

edit- ok I unwrapped the tape and the shop did cut the black loop. I guess mines already loud as it can get.
