Diamond s600s or s600a???

Im thinking of upgrading my Infinity kappa system, it sounds great but i want even better. So I went to Car Toys(although id never buy there) yesterday and listened to the diamond s600s and they were sick. Also the focals were in my opinion a little bit clearer at real high volume level but for the price you cant beat the Diamonds. superb!!!!

I was wondering if anyone has heard the difference between the s600s(aluminum tweeter) and the s600a(silk tweeter)?????? If so which one would you recommend ??

there really isnt a "recommended" set, DA makes these to give the listener a choice. I personally prefer the silk, but you may like the aluminum.

I haven't done it with the 6.5" ones but I have with the 4.5" ones. If I didn't listen to music very often or you're going to have the tweeters WAY off axis I would go with the aluminums, otherwise go with the silks. I liked the sound of the aluminums a little bit better for short listening periods but after a while they just got too harsh for my tastes. Silk I could listen to all day without a problem.

Actually there is If your tweets are going to be pointed toward you, then get the silk dome. Its smoother and not as harsh as alum/titanium dome tweets. IF your going the have the tweets pointed away from you, like at the center of the windsheild then you'll be fine with alum/titanium dome tweets. If you point the alum dome tweets directly at you, its going to be WAY too harsh. This is whats refered to as ON & OFF axis, on axis being pointed at you & vica versa.
