2 Subs in a MAX

Hey guys i have a 2000 maxima se with the bose system in it.. Well i have one sub on the back windows like we all do but i got another subs laying around from another maxima i was wondering if it would be possible to wire in an other BOSE sub in to the back window rack or whatever its called.

Then i would just recut the mounting and put them side by side on the back window but first i need to know if the wiring can be done, Or will the bose system not work with it..

Thanks for all your help!

If it can i will defentaly write a how-to
Or if some one has aleady done it and has a how to please let me know

That's because the answer to your question is in the FAQ

To summarize: yes. I think you buy a converter, although you could probably do it without. You'll want to get rid of the original BOSE sub, and buy a new sub/amp combo. If you're trying to add a sub onto the BOSE system without adding an external amplifier, forget it, its not worth it.

i think u want to put another bose sub the same kind with the one thats already there, and the only way i can see that happening is if you get a two channel amp, cut a hole for the new sub or change the mounting position to accomadate new subs and wire them up to another amp otherwise

i'd say take out the whole rear panel out of the i30, cut it and build it to hold both subs and them mount that on the maxima rear deck, the only problem after that is how to amplify them

yes, u'd have to splice the wires in from the stock amp tho and figure out which are powering the sub and use those as guidelines as to which wires will be attached to the other amp

divide them? no u'd have to run the same wires that ur running into one amp, into the other, but the signal will be dilutted and not as strong since it is being split to power up 2 amps rather than one

If you are looking for more bass, I would just sell the stuff from the I30 on ebay and then buy a basslink or something. You are talking about a lot of trouble for some so-so bose stuff.

If you sold some other parts off of it, you could probably buy a whole new system.

Just my $.02
