Got a '96 GLE. I know it's been talked about but can't find anything. Want to upgrade the Bose system. Can I splice into the rear speakers' signal leads and connect to the speaker level inputs on my amp. System sounds great just need some more bass. The stickies talk about using an RCA adapter. My amp has speaker level inputs as well as RCA inputs.

the lines going to the bose speakers are not speaker level...they are pre-amp level. you would have to tap an rca to the speaker leads and connect that to ur amp, but you would lose signal going to ur speaker that way.

i have it wired that way, and it sounds pretty good, but im gonna end up useing my amp to run some good interior coax's and seperate tweets up front (yes over kill i know) and mid bass speakers in the rear deck i dont think the signal to the bose is affected THAT much, but yes it is affected a little bit
