Sub Box Question

I currently have 2 12" Audiobahn Model AW1206T Subs. I'm not really sure what kind of box to put them in, whether it be ported, sealed, how big it should be, etc. as I'm pretty new to this stuff. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Recommended setup for a single sub; multiply x2 for 2.

Mounting Depth: 6 3/4”
Hole Cutout: 10 7/8”
Rec. Sealed Box Dims: 0.50 - 1.25 cu.ft.
Rec. Ported Box Dims: 1.30 - 3.20 cu.ft.
Free Air Usage: not recommended

ok...well I need some help...where should i start? Should I buy a pre-made box or build my own? If I have 2 of those subs, how much space in the box would be best? Should I go ported or sealed? Thanks

Another dedicated car audio site is termpro.com. I use it almost daily. Anything you can dream up is there.

It all comes down to what you want to get out of your system and how good of a craftsman you are. If you have built or know people who have built boxes before, then maybe try to build your own. If you are looking for SPL and don't care about using up most of your trunk space, then I'd say go ported. If you are looking for overall sound quality and don't feel like giving up your entire trunk area, go sealed. This is where your imagination comes into play. Go to a mobile audio shop and just look at some of the box designs that they have and see if there are any you like and feel that you could duplicate yourself. If you feel that its too much of an undertaking, then buy a manufactured box.
