hey guys,
i just bought a 99 max se from a private seller, everything was fine till i drove it home when i found out the alarm doesnt work right...both remotes work intermittently, sometimes i can arm and disarm, other times i cant....this is with both remotes. i tried reprogramming them but still get the same problem. another thing that is wierd is that when i can arm the alarm, it beeps twice(always thought 4th gen alarms were silent). I also noticed that its a passive alarm (arms itself after 30 seconds) - didnt know that was an option on a 99 (or is it not a factory alarm???) the remotes are factory - nissan style w/the purple lock button....windows can roll down as well (when the button works). There is an additional security light if that helps any. anyone have an idea what the problem can be??? i would really appreciate any help
