Building a new box...how do I add Plexi glass?

Well this weekend my cheap-*** "ebay" bandpass box bit the dust. It just more or less blew up, the screws that hold the plexi glass on just shot out of their holes and striped. Long story short I'm now going to build myself a box. The design I would like to use for my one 12" is a sealed box with the woofer firing into the cabin of the car. The back of the box that is facing the trunk will look like a wall and I would like to add a plexi glass "window" so you can see the back of the sub. My question is how in the world do I do that correctly? I just can't see it making a good seal. Could anyone give me some help! Thanks!

So what size plexi should I use? Also...would it be too hard to mount it flush with the MDF or should I have the glass on the inside of the box?
